The organization also values its partnership with other civil rights organizations for example Global Coalition on Migration and Women in Migration Network. It also helps sponsor the delegation of representatives of the many refugees and immigrants when attending global forums and events.
Due to the overwhelming amount of money that is needed to fund the many delegates, other funds have been established by private citizens to help support this groups and organizations such NNIRR. An outstanding example of such funds in one called Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund.
The Larkin and Lacey Frontera fund was established by Jim together with Larkin. The main aim of the fund was to help support groups that advocate for human, migrant and civil rights not forgetting the right to free speech and also the right to allow civic participation in states such as Arizona including the border with Mexico.
According to the founders, they were motivated o set up the fund after they had received a settlement of $3.75 million due to wrongful arrest by a Sheriff of Maricopa County on October 18, 2007. The two journalists had been forcefully detained in the middle of the night without noticed and jailed. Learn more about Michael Lacey: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/mike-lacey/
Their jailing was because they had revealed the existence of secret grand jury proceedings that wanted the reporters notes on the articles they had produced about the Sheriff. To further worsen the case, the grand jury had subpoenas demanding the revelation of the names of citizens who had read the New Times stories online.
They later won a suit they had launched against the county in the United States Court of Appeal.

The Constitution Must BE Protected by Everyday Americans
The rights of the average American protected in the Constitution are being attacked every single day in this once proud country. This country that once stood up against tyranny and oppression can no longer call itself the land of the free and the home of the brave for as long as it denies immigrants their rights and fight against the freedom of speech.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin have told us for a long time that this problem was coming. They saw tyrannical governments attacking both citizens and immigrants for some time. A great example is Sheriff Joseph Arpaio. This Maricopa County Sheriff has appeared more than any other name in the publications belonging to Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin. They have detailed for all to see just how cruel of a sheriff this man is and how he does not respect the Constitution.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin were the ones that reported how he burned down the home of a Hispanic couple. They also are the ones who gave evidence that he systematically persecuted Hispanic men and women through the Maricopa County Police Department. They publicized how he treated Hispanic immigrants like concentration camp workers. Lastly, they broke the news on how Sheriff Joseph Arpaio denied several pregnant women the right to see a Doctor and as a direct result both the women and the children died.
Lacey and Larkin started the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund in response to what Joseph Arpaio was doing to the community. In fact, it started because he tried to heal illegally detain these two men and silence them for using their First Amendment right.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin published the Front Page Confidential every month in order to educate the American public on the violation of their rights every day.
